GEA is at the forefront, providing MEP/FP engineering services for the residential component of the ambitious Willets Point mixed-use neighborhood revitalization project. Anchored in affordable housing and job creation, this endeavor aims to address longstanding challenges in the underserved Queens neighborhood. At the heart of Willets Point’s vision lies the creation of 2,500 affordable residences, signaling a transformative milestone as the largest fully affordable development in the city in over four decades. These residences will be housed within two 12-story and one 9-story buildings, meticulously designed to meet the needs of future residents. Additionally, the project encompasses extensive site preparation and utility connections, spanning a colossal 940,000 gross square feet of built space, including landscaped, publicly accessible open spaces.
