GEA provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection design and commissioning services for the highly anticipated Wegmans specialty food market in Brooklyn. The project involved the construction of a new ±70,000 square foot single-story facility, including a mezzanine level, as an integral part of a newly developed retail and commercial center in the area.
Our responsibilities extended to the comprehensive interior fit-out design for the MEP/FP systems, incorporating intricate planning and integration of utility connections and other provisions as dictated by the landlord’s Core & Shell work per lease requirements. GEA’s technical prowess ensured meticulous attention to detail in system layout, equipment selection, and compliance with industry regulations, guaranteeing optimal functionality and safety standards.
With Wegmans poised to become a staple among Brooklynites, GEA’s commitment to delivering high-caliber MEP/FP solutions was unwavering. Through our rigorous design and commissioning processes, we contributed to the seamless operation and efficiency of Wegmans’ infrastructure, enhancing the overall customer experience and reinforcing the establishment’s status as a beloved destination in the community.
