Project Key Features

GEA provided MEP and Fire Protection services for the New Stapleton Waterfront project, a massive residential development spanning 1 million square feet on the northeast shores of Staten Island. Notably, GEA achieved LEED Silver certification for this project, showcasing its commitment to sustainable design and environmental stewardship.

Situated within close proximity to the Staten Island Railroad and just two stops away from the St. George’s Terminal, New Stapleton offers residents convenient access to Manhattan. The development boasts a plethora of upscale amenities, including spacious outdoor lounge areas, a swimming pool, volleyball court, dog run, and even an on-site urban farm managed by NYC’s first full-time farmer.

Comprising 900 residential units, with a minimum of 20% allocated for affordable housing, along with 35,000 square feet of ground floor retail space, 600 parking spaces, and a vibrant public plaza, New Stapleton Waterfront redefines luxury living on Staten Island. Despite unique design choices, such as incorporating bathroom sinks into the bedroom area and an asymmetrical room layout posing ventilation challenges, GEA’s innovative engineering solutions ensured the project’s success.
