GEA was instrumental in providing comprehensive MEP and FP engineering design services for DXA’s new offices on West 38th Street. Spanning 4,000 square feet, the studio accommodates DXA studio and several collaborating partners, including ARCHIVE, Equitable Origin, Patrick Cullina (Landscape Designer), Flux Studio (Lighting Designers), and FACE (Graphic/Branding Designers).
The technical aspects of GEA’s design involved intricate coordination and integration of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, sprinkler, and fire alarm systems to meet the diverse needs of DXA’s multi-disciplinary workspace. GEA meticulously engineered MEP systems to optimize energy efficiency, indoor air quality, and occupant comfort while adhering to stringent regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Furthermore, GEA’s design facilitated the seamless incorporation of DXA’s design elements into the office space. By aligning MEP infrastructure with the studio’s architectural and aesthetic vision, GEA ensured that the space not only met functional requirements but also reflected DXA’s innovative and collaborative ethos. Through careful planning and technical expertise, GEA enabled DXA to realize their vision for a dynamic and inspiring work environment, where creativity thrives alongside cutting-edge engineering solutions.
