Project Key Features

This project entails the construction of a new autonomous school building adjacent to the existing school infrastructure. To facilitate operational independence, the new structure will obtain a separate Certificate of Occupancy, distinct block and lot identification, and individual utility connections. While the buildings will operate autonomously, certain elements such as egress pathways and elevators may be shared to optimize spatial efficiency and logistical convenience. The delineation of distinct phases for drawing submissions underscores a methodical approach to project management and ensures systematic progress toward the eventual realization of the envisioned facility.

Envisioned as a comprehensive educational hub, the new building is slated to span approximately 60,000 square feet across six floors, supplemented by cellar space. Each floor will be strategically allocated to accommodate various educational and administrative functions. Notable features include a lunchroom situated in the cellar, catering to nutritional needs and fostering social interaction among students. The first floor will feature an open study hall, designed to provide a conducive environment for collaborative learning and academic enrichment. Floors two through six will house classrooms and offices, offering dedicated spaces for instruction, administrative tasks, and faculty support services.

It is important to note that the proposed project focuses exclusively on the construction of the new school building and does not involve any modifications or enhancements to the adjoining structure at 5000 14th Avenue. This delineation underscores a targeted approach to project scope and underscores a commitment to delivering a standalone educational facility that meets the evolving needs of the school community.
