GEA provided MEP and Fire Protection services for the new 29-story luxury rental building with a retail component spanning approximately 270,000 gsf. In addition to the commercial space, the building boasts modern amenities including a game room, gym, and yoga room. Notably, this project incorporates a water source heat pump (WSHP) system, enhancing energy efficiency and sustainability.
The design process included thorough energy modeling for compliance with the Department of Buildings (DOB) regulations and to meet the criteria for LEED certification. By analyzing energy consumption and performance metrics, the design team ensured that the building met the stringent standards set forth by both regulatory bodies and sustainability initiatives.
With a focus on blending functionality with environmental consciousness, the building sets a new standard for luxury living. Residents enjoy the comfort and convenience of premium amenities and the peace of mind that comes from residing in an environmentally responsible structure. The building features a heat-recovery water source heat pump type heating and cooling system which speaks to the project’s commitment to sustainability.
