Project Key Features

GEA oversaw the MEP-focused renovation and gut renovation of an existing commercial building, converting it into residential use. The project involved redesigning HVAC systems for the second through eighth floors, totaling approximately 19,200 square feet. The HVAC redesign included updating systems to accommodate residential needs while retaining existing ductwork. This also involved upgrading the associated electrical and plumbing systems to support the new residential layout.

For the cellar, which was partially converted to utility spaces, GEA managed the integration of new systems necessary for the building’s residential functions. This included designing and implementing MEP systems to ensure adequate support for both the new residential spaces and retained commercial areas.
The first and second floors, still used for commercial purposes, had their HVAC systems redesigned to meet current standards, while electrical and plumbing work was also updated. This approach ensured that the existing infrastructure was adapted to support the building’s new mixed-use functionality efficiently.
