GEA provided MEP/FP design services for the high-end condominium located at 345 West 14th Street in the heart of the fashionable Meatpacking District. The project features several advanced MEP systems that contribute to its modern and environmentally friendly design. Key MEP features include VRF technology for air conditioning, which offers energy-efficient heating and cooling to optimize comfort while significantly reducing energy consumption.
In addition to the VRF technology, the building utilizes LED lighting throughout the property. This ensures low energy consumption and long-lasting performance, aligning with the project’s commitment to sustainability. High-efficiency plumbing fixtures are also installed to reduce water usage, contributing to the overall eco-friendly design of the condominium. These features helped the project achieve LEED Silver certification, demonstrating a high level of environmental performance.
The building is further enhanced by a sophisticated fire protection system to ensure the safety of its residents. The combination of these advanced MEP features, along with the exterior green roof, underscores GEA’s dedication to providing innovative and sustainable design solutions for modern urban living.
