The project consists of a new 21-story residential building totaling approximately 145,478 gross square feet. The development includes commercial space on the lower levels and a variety of residential amenities such as a music room, laundry room, kids room, and teen lounge.
GEA provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection (MEP/FP) design services for the building, incorporating advanced Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems to ensure efficient climate control throughout the structure. The VRF systems were selected for their ability to provide flexible, energy-efficient heating and cooling tailored to the diverse needs of the building’s spaces.
The project was energy modeled for compliance with the New York City Department of Buildings (DOB) energy code, ensuring the building meets stringent energy efficiency standards. This modeling supports the goal of creating a sustainable, high-performance residential environment that offers modern amenities and commercial opportunities while maintaining low energy consumption and operating costs.
