Project Key Features

GEA was tasked with providing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection design and commissioning services for 22 Chapel Street in Downtown Brooklyn. As the foundation work for the building reached completion, attention shifted to the assembly of the first floor, marking a significant milestone in the construction process. Situated in close proximity to the St. James Cathedral Basilica, the 20-story building boasted a range of amenities, including 87 parking spaces for occupants, a party room, fitness center, and a swimming pool located on the 15th floor, offering residents a luxurious living experience.

The strategic location of 22 Chapel Street provided convenient access to various subway lines, including A, B, C, F, Q, R, 2, 3, and 4, enhancing connectivity for residents commuting to and from the building. Additionally, direct access to the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway (BQE) further facilitated ease of travel for occupants, contributing to the overall accessibility and desirability of the property.

GEA’s involvement in the project encompassed the meticulous design and implementation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems tailored to the unique specifications of 22 Chapel Street. By leveraging technical expertise and industry best practices, GEA ensured that the building’s infrastructure was equipped to meet the highest standards of functionality, safety, and efficiency, aligning with the vision of providing residents with a modern and comfortable living environment in the heart of Downtown Brooklyn.
