GEA provided the design of all new mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and life safety systems, including fire alarm and sprinkler system design, for a new residential condominium project at 345 West 14th Street. Planned features of the construction program included approximately 47,500 gsf distributed over 10 to 12 floors of high-end luxury residences and approximately 4,000 sf of ground floor retail space designed to “warm dark shell” standards. The building also included tenant amenity spaces, with a full fit-out design provided for these areas.
The building’s exterior showcased a modern and elegant design with floor-to-ceiling windows that provided ample natural light and stunning views of the surrounding cityscape. The façade featured a combination of sleek glass and metal elements, creating a contemporary aesthetic that blended seamlessly with the vibrant neighborhood. The residential units boasted spacious layouts, high-end finishes, and state-of-the-art appliances, ensuring a luxurious living experience for the residents.
Additional key building elements included a rooftop terrace offering panoramic views of the city, a fitness center equipped with the latest exercise equipment, and a residents’ lounge designed for relaxation and socializing. The project also incorporated sustainable design practices, with energy-efficient systems and materials contributing to a reduced environmental impact. These features collectively ensured that the condominium offered a sophisticated, comfortable, and eco-friendly living environment.
