The project consisted of the mechanical, plumbing, sprinkler, fire alarm, and electrical fitout of the tenant space on the 5th and 6th floors, totaling approximately 7,600 gsf. The HVAC units currently located in the space were utilized in the design.
The HVAC design included a fully operational system throughout the project area, incorporating any necessary equipment and distribution systems. It also addressed modifications of the existing system and supplementation as required based on the new layout. The design integrated a controls system for HVAC, connecting to the existing base building control system. Supplemental cooling was provided for any spaces requiring it, such as large conference rooms or server rooms, and bathroom ventilation modifications were included. Acoustical precautions were implemented to prevent sound travel between rooms.
The sprinkler system design involved connecting the piping and distribution to the existing sprinkler riser on each floor and modifying the existing wet sprinkler system based on the new layout. Fire alarm devices within the project area were connected to the base building fire alarm system, with adjustments made according to the new layout and hard wall modifications.
