David Glickman stands as the visionary founder and managing partner behind GEA Consulting Engineers—a journey that commenced in the confines of his attic back in 1996. Today, bolstered by a robust team of 45 engineers, GEA proudly holds the vanguard position as the preeminent MEP Engineer for expansive multi-use projects, spanning the residential, hotel, commercial and retail sectors.
David has guided the path and culture of GEA to serve the client’s needs via cutting edge technology, vigorous quality control and constant communication, to advance each project’s individual goals and on time completion. This service has resulted in sustained and repeated projects from a loyal group of esteemed developers, architects and builders, a fact that the GEA team holds in high esteem. Armed with a BSME from Columbia University and fortified by experience gained at major engineering firms, David Glickman’s transformative journey culminated in the establishment of GEA—an embodiment of innovative excellence.
Some of the projects that David is most proud of include multi-million sf retail centers in the Bronx and Brooklyn, the 8th tallest building in NYC, the award winning sail shaped 30 Front Street at the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge and the world’s largest synagogue.
David enjoys endurance cycling, including 100+ mile days in the desert heat, world travel and daily study of the Babylonian Talmud. He tries to live by the credo that anything worth doing is worth doing well.
