Kaufman Astoria Studios first opened in 1921 and after its newly announced expansion, its footprint will soon cover over 500,000 sq. ft.! It recently became the first studio to gain a back lot for filming and the latest addition to the campus will be a newly built four-story office building which will yield over 100,000 square feet within. GEA is providing mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection design services to this 84-ft tall structure that will house office space and two new stages, include 14-ft high ceilings, seven balconies and several wraparound windows.
