GEA is pleased to announce that we have selected StringBean Technologies to develop NYC DoB commissioning and special inspections workflows to streamline our processes. This joint-innovation effort will enable GEA Consulting Engineers to efficiently gather data on site and speed the effort necessary to produce documentation. Not only does this effort allow GEA to be more proactive and responsive to the needs of our customers and better expedite our work product, StringBean provides us with the ability to validate that all work is performed in a consistent and quality manner. With StringBean, all reports are generated in the field by cataloging all the observations, pictures and notes and converting them into clean reports, in real time. Commissioning and special inspections is a growing practice area for us, and we are committed to continually improving our services and strive to find solutions like these to help our clients complete successful projects.

One Beekman is getting closer to completion! GEA is providing mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection design and commissioning services to the upcoming 25-story apartment building that will be notably accentuated by dark-colored steel frame. Floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking City Hall Park will be encompassed by the steel framing and that has begun to go up on the first several floors!
